I was not expecting this
I’m dying because it seems like the thing the Hobbit fandom is most excited about in the new trailer is that we see Fíli in it more than once if even at all.
FILI IS SO IMPORTANT 2K14
just had a dream where someone stole my socks and framed me for murder using the dna on them

Our parents warned us about middle aged men stalking us on the Internet but oh how the tables have turned
the thought that once smaug has perished and the people of lake-town have all safely escaped to dale and kili’s been healed, the other dwarves actively turn to fili to lead them from dale to erebor
the thought that they trust him and believe in him not coz he’s the heir, not because he’s a prince, but because they recognize that leader quality in him
the thought that fili doesn’t turn them down or shy away from it
the thought that fili is probably thinking “i’m no king or leader, but i can do my duty well and i’ll do my best to get us all to erebor in one piece”
the thought that fili’s destiny is to lead rather than to rule
People often say that abortion is fine because it is legal… But legality does not affect morality. http://ift.tt/1mXdm8m
When the Hobbit trailer started playing Pippin’s song:
when someone gets your musical theatre reference in a conversation
This movie has the best one liners.

Stephanie: look at Kili’s face. He looks so serious but I’m just thinking he’s probably so frightened. He’s never been in a war before and now he has to fight orcs and wargs and possibly elves and men and he’s just not ready for that
Me: all i can think about is like him looking at Fili’s back, watching his brother who has never been in a war either just bring up that mantel as heir and lead everyone into battle not showing any fear even though Fili’s mind is probably racing, and Kili just is kind of like, if he can do it I can do it
Although this is the part of the story that the bards tend to focus on as the bit where Hiccup was particularly Heroic, I do not agree. It is a lot easier to be brave when you know you have no alternative.
